Sharenting - Oversharing Information about Children by their Parents
HLAVINKOVÁ, Anna
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of Sharenting - excessive sharing of information about children by their parents. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part of the bachelor's thesis is further elaborated in five chapters, which deal with risky behaviour, family, currently the most used social networks, the legal concept of sharenting and sharenting itself. The practical part is mentioning the goals and hypotheses, which were processed using a quantitative type of research, the questionnaire technique. The research sample included a total of 221 respondents, which consisted of parents who are active on social networks and young people (future parents) aged 18 to 26 years. The selection of respondents was targeted, using the snowball method. From the results of this bachelor's thesis, we found that parents know the risks associated with sharing private information, photos, videos on the Internet and social networks. We also found that parents share this information to create virtual family albums, by sharing memories with distant relatives and friends. Parents do not ask their children for approval to share photos, videos, etc. on social networks. When evaluating the questionnaires, we received different opinions from potential future parents, who mostly answered negatively to the sharing of information about children on the Internet. The results of this bachelor thesis can be the basis for further discussion on this issue. Furthermore, they can be an incentive for various educational and awareness programs not only for parents but also for the general public.

Otrošinová, Dominika ; Angelovská, Olga (advisor) ; Tušková, Eva (referee)
The diploma thesis maps a fifteen-year period of repeated and so far unsuccessful efforts to establish the office of the Ombudsman for Children in the Czech Republic. It divides this period into several stages, and for each of them looks for as many elements as possible that have influenced the given stage. Using the Multiple Streams Approach, it focuses on the phase of agenda-setting, finds the main actors of each period, and describes their approaches to setting the topic. It compares the individual stages with each other on the basis of the criteria with which the MSA works. It points, for example, to differences in the position of individual promoters or, conversely, to similar influences of individual streams. In conclusion, it proposes a set of recommendations for the future process, which are based on the analysis.

Kellnerová, Eva ; Čabanová, Bohumila (advisor) ; Kotrusová, Miriam (referee)
The diploma thesis "A journey of a child from own family to a foster family - Substitute family care in the Czech republic" deals with the problematics of substitute family care focusing on foster family care. Institutional education is being taken into account as well, since it represents one of the possibilities of a child's placement out of own family. Because it is a priority and for the good of a child to grow up in a family environment, institutional education should be used only as the last possible solution. The Czech republic has been often criticised for having too high amount of children growing up in institutions and for infringing the rights arising from the Convention on the Rights of the Child. In this context foster family care and possible establishment of professional foster family care has currently been discussed in the Czech republic. Even the nowaday's system of foster family care is not spared from criticism. The solution for this system of care for children without family background inheres in establishment of professional foster family care which allows children, who cannot grow up in their bilogical families and who are not (for legal or actual reasons) suitable for adoption, to grow up in family environment. Attention is payed to experiences from foreign countries with a special...

Spoustová, Ivana ; Elischer, David (referee)
The dissertation thesis "Relationship of parents to minors with regard to the specifics of domestic violence" focuses in particular on judicial proceedings in cases of custody of minors where family relationships are affected by domestic violence. It attempts to explain why it is necessary for the courts to take into account this fact and to adopt such measures within their decisions to provide sufficient protection to persons at risk and at the same time to stop violent behaviour. Domestic violence as a dangerous social phenomenon is described in detail; information on its individual appearances and forms is brought; briefly mentioned are also other scientific disciplines whose knowledge is important not only for the recourse of offenders and the protection of victims but also for creation of a strategy of effective prevention. Negative impacts on mental state of minors are stressed, who must be viewed in all cases of domestic violence as its victims, i.e. also when the violent behaviour is not immediately directed against them. The thesis brings interpretation of the current legislation with reference to the most important changes in the legislation in the last decade. Last but not least, measures de lege ferenda are proposed the implementation of which could contribute to eliminating this...
Legal protection of the child within the intercountry adpotion proceeding
Smeková, Ivana ; Hendrychová, Michaela (advisor) ; Šustek, Petr (referee)
6 ABSTRACT IN ENGLISH The International Adoption has been introduced to the Czech law in a greater extent, in 2000, when the Czech Republic acceded to the Hague Convention on Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of intercountry Adoptions (1993). The Czech Republic currently provides a relatively large number of children each year for intercountry adoption to another contracting state. Nonetheless, no complex scientific publication on intercountry adoption does not exist in the Czech Republic so far, as most of the authors of expert's articles, textbooks or commentaries continue to perceive the intercountry adoption only as a marginal complement to adoption on national basis. International adoption pursues the same objective as adoption on national, namely, to find suitable new parents for the child, always in accordance with the child's best interests. However, international adoption is much more complex, as cooperation between several administrative authorities in the Czech Republic is not sufficient to effectively protect the rights and interests of the adopted child, but it is necessary to ensure mutual cooperation between administrative authorities in two sovereign states. This thesis contains a brief explanation of the institute of intercountry adoption, and its legal regulation,...

The Rights of a Child in International Documents in Juvenile Justice
Pham, Minh Tra ; Bayerová, Monika (advisor) ; Hýbnerová, Stanislava (referee)
Upholding the International Rights of Children in Conflict with the law Abstract Children in conflict with the law are a particularly vulnerable group. This vulnerability results from their specific status as children as well as their contact with the justice system. Generally, children are vulnerable due to their frequent dependence on adults and societal views that children are subordinate to them. When children, who are already vulnerable due their status, come into contact with the criminal justice system, their rights are at further risk for violation. However, even in these situations, the child is still a fully-fledged bearer of his or her rights and can claim protection and fulfillment thereof. Therefore, each state should ensure adequate protection for children in conflict with the law thus respecting its obligations stipulated in international law. Many binding and non-binding documents were adopted by various bodies within the United Nations (UN). Taken together, these documents form the international legal standards and norms on which the international juvenile justice framework is based. This year, the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child of 1989 (UNCRC), which is considered to be the most important document informing the international juvenile justice framework, celebrates its...
